Last Week The Christmas Comics Class was a Success

Last week I hosted a Comics Class at the CCA in Glasgow. I would say the impressive and large amounts of works produced proved that the class was a success and hope the kids got a lot out of it. The first half hour is always a little slow and dry but once you explain your work and show examples they can produce outstanding results. Ranging from ages of 8 -14 I had one or two fans who knew my work. Is always surreal and so flatterd when you meet people and kids who respond to your work postiviely ( one of the girls was actually called Freya which was so odd but cool! )

Most parents left to do their Xmas shopping for a few hours but a few stayed and contributed to the class, the feedback from them was great…you always have to win the folks over!

One of the parents tweeted about me…so far so good

That will probably be my last session on workshops and classes for a while as I move to Canada next month but that sure was a boost. Selling a few comics and an original page from SL was bought too.

Seeing my work in the CCA was pretty darn cool too.

Girl Wrapped Up!

I am a linear person when it comes to drawing but I do adore just simple colour, shapes and shadows to make an image.I attempted to try this style with a very loose line drawing I did… I think I like the overall look and wanna experiment a little more.

I love drawing cool chicks in lots of layers!

My Favourite Super Heriones in Comics right now

Sometimes I have to step back from work and draw things I have an urge to draw… a huge fan of Gwen Stacy as Spiderwoman in Spiderverse, The New Batgirl 52 and Catwoman is a modern femme fatale.I really enjoyed pencilling and inking these, I wanted to draw these ladies and their super alter egos…

I will colour each one individually, but I do like the classic inks on a crisp white background

Notepad Doodles and got a work permit!

Hey there sorry for the lack of posts lately…been so busy and Citizenship and Immigration Canada have been in contact and I have been approved. I have a work permit for 4 years…so happy and work really payes off. I leave in the end of Januray!

So  a lot to do with Comics, Christmas and Canada.

But lately I have been tarveling a lot and so I assembled a sheet of the doodles I have…uh…well doodled while on the train, cafes and in my hotel in this last hectic week.

Some of these I will develop further and add colour.
